Fragments of Love

Written & performed by Mary-Frances Doherty

An exciting new performance that takes you on a journey of love, lust and jealousy. During the course of the action the audience is offered an insight into a young woman’s hopes, dreams and aspirations of love juxtaposed with the harsh reality that a “bag of potatoes” will always be “just a bag of potatoes”.

Approx. running time: 30 minutes

"Fragments finds her in a dress fashioned from a potato sack, bemoaning her singledom and graphically yearning for a boyfriend. A demented seduction dance to Abba is followed by amorous advances towards a potato, and then a whole sack of the vegetables is eviscerated and strewn across the stage in an entirely self-concocted jealous rage."
